My toddler was laying in bed singing “Mommy’s all right, Daddy’s all right, they’re both just a little weeeird.” Cute, but I wanted to sleep.  My husband wanted to sleep too,   that he was hearing something that he not able to ignore.  His “musician ears” were engaged, and he sat up on his elbow and asked “what did you say?”  to our little guy.

On cue, he sang it again and my husband emphatically said to me , “listen to what he’s singing!” Finally, I shook myself awake and actually listened.

My husband and I both laughed and I laughed harder when I realized that neither of us had taught him the song, even though we were a bit puzzled too. [Read more...]
